Sager Reclaims the Golden Gobbler

In their fourth showing in the Milton 5k Gobbler for Best Buddies, Sager Electronics once again took home the Golden Gobbler trophy.  On Saturday, November 21, 2015, Sager employees, friends and family ran or walked their way to a fundraising victory greatly exceeding their goal of $5,000. Sager's twenty team members raised $8,365 for the non-profit organization, which is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.  Two of Sager's team members placed in the top five as individual fundraisers for this event.

In total, the Milton 5k Gobbler generated over $61,000 in donations. These monies will be used in the expansion of the Best Buddies program, offering opportunities for one-to-one relationship building, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Founded in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver, Best Buddies has grown from one original chapter to almost 1,900 programs worldwide and impacts nearly 900,000 individuals worldwide. The program's support services equal more than $168 million, at no cost to their communities. Visit the Best Buddies organization online to learn more.

Thank you to all who supported the team.  Watch for the team's return in 2016 for their fifth Milton 5k Gobbler.
