Phoenix Contact¿s factory has announced the following product(s) is going to be discontinued. Existing specifications will be met or exceeded. Technical support of the discontinued product will continue, as required. Please review and acknowledge this document and take the appropriate action with respect to your existing inventory and ordering replacement parts.
The production of HC-B...ESTC/ HC-B...EBUC and HC-DD...ESTC / HC-DD...EBUC crimp contact carriers will be stopped due to manufacturing reasons. As an alternative, you may now order HC-B...I-CT-M / HC-B...I-CT-F and HC-DD...I-CT-M / HC-DD...I-CT-F contact inserts, found in the new 2009 Pluscon catalog. The alternative articles are identical in construction and thus can replace the discontinued types without any problem. The new inserts also incorporate a tension sleeve principle which provides better tension pull out force than the PE standard screw with pressure plate found in the discontinued products.
Note - This change applies only to the crimp contact carriers, please continue to use the screw connection inserts HC-B.....EBUS/ HC-B.....ESTS until notified of a discontinuation.
