Tyco Electronics extends its family of Eurostyle terminal blocks to include new front style plugs, which feature a wire entry cavity and activating screw head located on the same plane and parallel to the direction of the plug. The new design allows the plugs to be densely stacked, side by side, while enabling easier termination and removal of wires without the need to unplug the connector.
The front style plugs include captive screws to prevent the screws from backing out -- quickening overall installation time. The screws are combo-head styled to accommodate either straight or Phillips-head screwdrivers. Offered in 5.0mm and 5.08mm centerline spacings, the plugs mate with industry standard vertical and right angle headers with the similar centerline spacing. Color customization is available upon request.
Specific product application includes field wiring for either power or I/O signals, or stacked pluggable terminal block connections in industrial control, HVAC control and communication equipment markets.
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 300 Volts and 16 Amps. The plugs are available in 2 through 12 positions and accommodate 14 through 24 AWG wires. Housings are UL 94 V0-rated and the product line is UL-recognized and CSA-certified.
