Effective June 25, 2010 ebm-papst will no longer accept new production purchase orders for the 3400 and 8400 series fans. The 3400 and 8400 series are very mature designs (both have been in production for decades) and will no longer be produced due to the fact that they are not utilizing the latest component technology and therefore some of the components used to manufacture these fans are becoming obsolete.
However, ebm-papst's 3400N and 8400N series fans have been used to replace the 3400 and 8400 series fans in various applications over the past few years. These series are the suggested replacement product on all new applications.
