In July 2008, Phoenix Contact introduced the second generation of STEP power supplies. Therefore, Phoenix Contact's factory has announced the discontinuation of the first generation of STEP power supplies. The second generation of STEP power supplies are designed to be a more robust, reliable and in some cases, a smaller footprint power supply.
