Kycon USB-IF Approved USB Connectors
Kycon is pleased to announce that the Universal Series Bus Implementers Forum (USB-IF),
has successfully tested and approved the following Kycon USB connectors: single SMT A-type,
stacked PCB mount A-type, and single PCB mount A- and B-type. These approved USB connectors are
all listed on the Integrators List.
All of Kycon’s USB connectors are rated up to 480 Mbps, and have been designed for use in
high-speed interface connections between computers and peripherals. The next Kycon USB connectors
to be tested and approved by the USB-IF include the single SMT B-type, vertical slim design A-type,
and the mini A-, AB-, and B-type connectors.
Kycon’s USB connectors are either fully or partially shielded and feature indentations for
exceptional grounding and mating retention. The insulator material is available in either black
or white thermoplastic and the contacts come in either gold flash or 30u” gold on contact area.
